Microneedling vs VI Peel

Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation

Microneedling breaks down the excess melanin, enhances the penetration of brightening serums, and promotes even skin regeneration, usually requiring 3-6 sessions for significant fading.

If a peel is your preference, I use the Precision + Peptides VI peel for pigment issues. This peel tackles tough pigment by suppressing melanin production and lifting existing pigmentation. You will see some improvement with just one peel. A series of 3 or 6 is recommended for more severe cases.

Acne Scarring

Microneedling is the clear winner for minimizing the appearance of scars. It creates controlled micro injuries to the skin triggering a natural wound healing response that stimulates collagen and elastin production. This process remodels scar tissue and fills in depressed acne scars. Recommend 6 sessions.

Skin Laxity + Fine Lines

Microneedling - The new proteins caused by the microscopic punctures thicken, firm, & tighten the skin, reducing sagging, diminishing the appearance of fine lines, and improving elasticity over several weeks as skin remodels. Recommend 3-6 sessions.

The VI Peel combats wrinkles, fine lines, laxity/loss of elasticity, roughness, difficult-to-penetrate resilient skin with Retinoic acid, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), salicylic acid, phenol, ascorbic acid. Improvement can be seen in one session, although 3-6 sessions are recommended for significant improvement.
